Do you love big bluegill?

A method I've used for several years.

Absolutely boneless fillets are a must when feeding children....I have about the same stray bone ratio @ 1:20....I have never been a fan of electric knives nor of the noxious body fluids they expose during every cut.

I've filleted a lot of bream in the last 10 years but I can tell that you've had more practice than I have. I will try your method next time I catch a mess of big ole titty bream. I can smell the corn meal in the hot grease right now.

I used you tecnique this past week. I spent a couple hours catching 6-8" Bluegill - and saved about 20 for a hunting camp fish fry. It was a bit harder on some of the smaller fish - but overall easier than I expected. Definitely - I made better use of ALL the available meat than in the past.

Thanks for the tip!

Wow I really like your method, looks like you get all the meat and a clean fillet. I like the fact the the gut sack is in one peice and o on your board. I dont think I have ever seen someone take the lateral line out of a bluegill. Very nice video. Thanks a lot and I will try your method sometime. Happy fishing.
