- What type of animal is a bluegill?
- Well i have a 40 acre lake that use to have lots and lots of nice fish. my record bass is 12lbs. 6oz. : record crappie 2lbs. 14oz. : record channel cat 21lbs. : record bluegill 12oz. The lake is now silting in and the fishing is not as good. Lots of good memeries
Bluegill Project
The pictures of the pool are for a bluegill project i will be starting by 9/20/08. I am still working on building and adding a biofilter, and i am trying to get the water chemistry to were it needs to be. i will be testing to see if the larger presumed more aggressiveand healthy bluegill continue to out compete the small bluegill. The other picture are bluegill that I have caught. thanks for veiwing my page.

The pond is in the northwest mountains of upstate New York ,and winters are pretty hard ,but it's something you have to accept if you want to live here.
