Do you love big bluegill?
I will follow the success of a great line of baits known affectionately as the "Silent Stingers".....New for 2014 are several refinements with the most significant for me being the creation of a # 6 bug........Will I ever be able to take off that Cotton Candy this year?........Fine out here first with testimony and great photos along the way......

Ya know Jeffrey I get in ruts of using the same thing all the time that catches fish. It's just logical if that is all we are after, however having said that I'm still a believer in testing stuff for a long time before I say it's a success for me . This will be the second year for the Cottons and the first year for the #6's . I'm a firm believer in Marabou as a material and cant wait to see the results of the Red & Yellow and the Pink & Red's also. CAN'T WAIT BUDDY AS I'M SURE CARL AND THE REST OF US BUG FOLK watch your exploits while holding our breath........ I'll be doing my own unscientific tests on my own too ......
THANKS YALL AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE the results of my baits , Carls, Allens, JIm G' , and all the rest ya have to test Jeffrey. What a great year it will be buddy.....
tooty;s cotton stinger is a hard one to beat! glad you got out to fish a little and glad you got your boat back!! now go get those gills and crappie!!
With cold water temperatures today and a slow Crappie bite.......I decided to fish the original Cotton Candy Silent Stinger tipped with live crickets and it accounted for 7 solid gills today including one of the biggest of the day shown below.......It's early and there are many things to overcome that comes with the winter season.....But with the bad comes some good and I have historically done pretty well after a hard winter....let's hope 2014 follows that pattern.....
This is a real solid fish and very representative of our local waters in coastal North Carolina.......Track the progress of Tooty's new designs here as the season matures.....I'm certain the # 6 Cotton Candy will be an All-Star before it's all over......
