Pond management (geared to grow big Bream)
Good morning and Happy Easter everyone! I recently was blessed to be buy a new home with a 1/2 acre pond. The pond was well cared for and in good shape. The pond has a few catfish, lots of bass, a few big hybrid bream, and I recently introduced 500 copper nose bluegill, and 50 red ears. What is the best food to ensure these little guys grow up to be trophy bream?

What It Takes to Grow Trophy Bluegill in Ponds
Seven years ago, in May 2009, I started managing a handful of ponds just north of my hometown on my own dime, with the goal of creating a trophy bluegill guide service. There are five ponds on the property that I worked with: 1.1 acre, 1 acre, .9 acre, .5 acre, and .25 acre, a total of 3.75 acres of water.
