You're right, Robbie...you can catch gills all winter long at Richmond Mill! We have taken gills in Maryland in ponds with water temps at 38 degrees in mid-January, and big fish...up to 11.75 inches. And my son and I got numerous crappies up to 15 inches at RM in the mix, but they were a little higher in the water column and prefered the Rapala crankbaits.
Wow, that's crazy! I popped a couple big ones off of them with Dave on a very rough cold front day in November. I guess we'll have to see how they pan-out in relationship to the natural structure in the lake. We had a 30 degree drop in air temps in an 18 hour period but I still managed 23 gills over 10 " and 17 over 11, with three 2 pounders. Quite a testament to the management of this lake when you can catch fish like that in absolutely horrible conditions! Excellent!

Hey Robbie...when you and Dave and Bob went out the other day did you do any good on the Mossback Structures?
Is your profile picture the 3 lb. 5 ounce Personal best Robbie? What is the Richmond Mill record to date? Thanks
