Do you love big bluegill?
Caught gills suspended on a slope with these micros under a quill float with a small half inch segment of pinched red wiggler......I like these baits without the soft plastic the colder it gets.....just barely covering the hook with the worm segment or a live grass shrimp.......

If it works I'm willing to work through the reliability issues but it can get pricey keeping in the soft plastics......The gulp alive minnows are more durable but the price comes with them too......
neat looking little jigs
That's the trouble I find with the curly tails I use. I have to buy soft ones for the tail action cause I do fish slow and still want the tail action but like you said the downfall is only 2 or 3 fish and the tail falls apart but that's the price we pay for what we are comfortable with.
Indeed Dick......flutters down to the desired depth and some tail movement when fished.......the tails are so small they lack durability only lasting for a few strikes at times......this is as small as I like to go......I had a red one like the bottom one straightened out yesterday by what appeared to be a solid channel cat but with no drag on a telescopic pole and such a small hook I was at her mercy.........
I like the tails on these guys they appear to have a lot of movement.
