Thanks guys........they've always been here I'm just learning more about them and getting better at predicting their patterns.....didn't have them growing up in Louisiana and only caught a few in South Carolina before settling here in North Carolina.........I like catching them and they can be very aggressive at times.........you're essentially fishing an up river migration pattern to spawn here on the estuary........thousands get netted here and they are not designated as a gamefish in North Carolina which means no limit............

Thanks guys.......do like the birds and fly south for the winter although "winter" is a figure of speech down here right now.......I'm not sure we're going to have much of a winter here, the tundra swans are hanging around much longer than normal.........

A pleasant surprise this week........contacted the perch this past weekend searching for gills and crappie on the move..........it happens like that sometimes........
