Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Great distance shot near Hertford, North Carolina......took the boat out for a spin Saturday before the rains and wind set in.....Little chilly but not bad for February...

Thanks David...my bumper sticker says "I'd rather be Bluegill Fishing!" ......LOL   With the digital age, I keep cameras in the boat and in the glove box....never know where you might want to capture the moment! I've actually anchored on this point and ate lunch in the shade....just a short run from the launch I frequent!  Nature will give way to Bluegill soon, but you can bet I'll throw in some river pictures for the full effect!

Im with Jim - great pics Jeff. If there was somethin' around here to take pictures of, I'd be honored to have you do it!

I'm certainly ready for the Bluegill fishing to pick up Jim, but it's good therapy for an idle fisherman's mind to picture these beautiful places!

Amazing...even in the dead of winter, the NC rivers are quite beautiful!

Thanks, Jeffrey, for all these stunning places and the photos!

Water is still down about 18 inches locally, exposing lots of cypress knees......The gills will be looking to move into these areas in late March or early April.....I'm ready for that! By then the prevailing North winds will be over and the water will return to normal levels.....
