thanks for the reply Jeffrey i caught some bigger females here last week on a lake close to home that still had eggs but i'm sure they dropped by now i got into some males last year guarding fry over open water they where just swimming around following the fry action was awesome i have read the bigger males will even eat some fry if they hungry enough...

These fish appeared to be post spawn on most of this creek......did catch a dozen earlier ion the morning off one colony TK........fish are very active right now.......
