By the way, this giant was caught "by accident", while bass fishing. This happens quite a lot where huge Bluegills and Redears can be found.

Another older photo of a California Bluegill that is pushing the 3 pound mark. I've got quite a few pics of really big fish on "my page" that I bring back out just to keep the spark of catching a big one on everyone's mind. It can happen to any one of us. I have been super fortunate (and lucky, I'm sure) to have caught a couple Bluegill that have gone 2 pounds plus.
