Do you love big bluegill?
I tipped this jig with minnows and crickets and fished from three to four feet deep for today's best results....

It's funny......I maintain roughly 25 different patterns and catch most of the fish on two or three.......with the "glow" pink and white probably my favorite to date.....this blue ice is sometimes all the crappie will take.......funny how things happen like that.....
I love them paddle tail and curly tails, but the proof for me is they have to be very soft plastic for the tail action.
Absolutely David....the one pictured had roughly 3/4" cut off the blue body.......they often get torn up quickly but anything that draws a strike is worth doing in my mind......it serves to make it a little more appealing from a size aspect and the moving paddle rides in next to the hook point and improves the hook set ratio on fish that tear at the paddle tail in my opinion......
White body and pink paddle has been working good as well in this series......
I agree with your observations Jeff......these paddle tails do have pretty good action........comparable to tossing a coin in a wishing well/swimming pool........I fish aggressively most of the time.......for example, I was fishing three to four feet deep today and I kept this bait moving.....I would keep popping it and bringing the bait near the surface and allowing it to fall again.......many of the bites were reaction strikes to the movement but the bite was still better when the jig was tipped......go figure......
Nice color combos Jeff. What make is that tail, and does it have much action? So many tiny baits have little or no movement/action.
