The Perimeter of Floating Pads Is One Of The August Target.....
Several types of lily pads are prominent in this region.....the pods of tight floating pads as seen in the center of this photo are very productive around the edges......I believe the water is most likely cooler and the fish assemble

I hear you Dick.......there's a family of beavers that have been in this general area for more than 10 years......I always slow down going through this region to take it all in........good location when the crappie go shallow too.........
