Thanks Paul and anytime.....my opinions are just that but I usually back it up with learned behaviors or testimony with proven results......I too get many good ideas from browsing BBG........

Thanks guys......I tie directly to the hook/lure Paul.......Often with artificial baits I'm expecting some type of action/movement so I don't want anything to disturb that.....I could maybe see using one with a plain hook but It's not my preference.....Take for example today.....I fished the grass shrimp pattern from Dick Tabbert and I wanted a slow fall with the water down about six inches.......I still used a split shot but I moved it right up beneath my float and this gave the shrimp 12-14 inches of free fall without any added weight...most of today's 87 gills hit the bugs during this slow fall......a swivel would have added weight and perhaps sank this bait too fast for some of the fish that would strike......

Great looking Coppernose Jeffrey, looks like the type down here in Florida .. Got em
On a cricket ..I wanted to ask you Jeff, do you ever use snap swivels or do you tie directly to
The lure, jig, or eyelet ... And why? If you won't mind, I like picking your brain ..,
Paul
