....the amazing thing is how TALL these fish are.  It's unbelievable.

There have been reports at Herman Brother's Lake of hybrid bluegill that tickle the two-pound mark.  Maybe this fish has reached that level now.  I plan on fishing again for these fish in the next few days.

I wander how big he is now Bruce. Any plans to get back and fish the same location! Herman Brothers can be proud of their work. An "All Star" fish on a network with hundreds of great fish!

Very cool ! :) Apparently Bluegill and Green Sunfish like to hybridize naturally (in the wild) also, as a few years ago, I was catching a TON of them at Clear Lk. CA. In fact, my catch was about 60% Bluegill X Green Sunfish hybrids, 35% pure Bluegill, and 5% all other.

The hybrids were big, strong, beautiful, and agressive, too  :-)

Peace,

Fish

Actually I was in a float tube when I caught it, but we went to shore to capture a good picture.

Herman Brothers do an amazing job of raising great fish for their clients to enjoy.  They really have some piggies!
