Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Nobody likes the Great Blue Herons but I hate to see these guys in my fishing holes...These birds are right at home diving and spearing fish......

Us here in CT can't stand cormorants! They eat away at our lakes, ponds, and LIS. Very stupid for the state to have them protected when they've become over populated and we wish there was an open season for them.

Wow.  I thought folks from OK were the only ones that called Cormorants by the "Water Turkey" moniker.

We have them here as well.  I've seen a couple on my local lakes, and bunch on the river below the two dams I fish.  LOTS of shad there, which is the main draw for the Water Turkeys.

No they're a member of the  protected species......this river has miles of that vegetation along the shore....not much bank fishing and I didn't trailer my boat the 6 hours down this time.....looks inviting though.....

Allowable for catching to eat? By the way, that is one awesome vegetation bed in the background. Prime spot for every species in the water.
