Thanks Dick.....shorter days are my biggest killer during the winter.......but woke up to a rather pleasant winter morning and a few fish made it a great day......

Thanks Jim......I've always seen Winter as a rest time for gills as the abundant Florida strain get very picky in colder waters.....winter in this region allows good crappie fishing if you can stand the elements.......I have several holes marked in area creeks and rivers that hold fish in the winter like firewood......always makes for a few good trips like today.......dead calm or I probably would have passed on the 21 degree morning.......had to battle skim ice early.....chopped it up with my outboard to clear my anchoring spot.......
