Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My son got his first buck of his life this weekend 200lb 8pt he took it with a 20gauge with a slug. I am so proud of him he even helped with the field dress he is going to take after his mom and dad.

Thanks guys JR is hooked now wants to go again this weekend I have been working with him this summer with a shotgun the 12g is a little to much for him right now but he can handle the 20g ok he likes my 9x18 Makarov pistol too I guess I'm going to lose that too. We saw this one fighting with another buck in our back field last week the rut is in full bore right now going to take him again over the xmas holiday. His mom and I are very proud of him but my other son Tyler wants nothing to do with hunting he doesn't mind eatin it but he wont kill one he is going to be a fine fisherman instead he says.   LOL.

Very nice Junior……..I always took my daughter every chance I had despite serving my country for 22 years as a submariner……she’s a mother with five children that I get out often, both boys and girls…..my belief is an ethical sportsman or sportswoman becomes a great citizen…..congrats, And I thought I was the only one with 20 gauges….lol

Congratulations on your first buck. You're going to have a tough time topping this one. Good for you!
