Do you love big bluegill?
I was looking for a few Shellcrackers with the worms fished deeper but the gills were there to take advantage....Fish caught in 3 feet of water near bottom.....

Didn't actually see any beds today but plenty of Osprey and a few Bald Eagles from the Raptor family and we know from Tony's testimony that the Great Blue Heron is bad news...herons everywhere in these areas.....Yes I do tip these jigs with crickets or crawlers David...Always feel better about adding some smell.......A few of them are Charlie Brewer Sliders...Good eye....
Always love seeing the results..and the fish's reaction. I sense that it's saying, "Why are you making me sucking your thumb?"
By the way Jeffrey, did you see the spawning bed at 3ft depth..and any aerial predators around?
Good fish Jeff! Nicely done.
Work for pay - that's barbaric!
I also like the way the Charlie Brewer Slider grubs behave in the water; it looks like you have a few of them there in the bag, too!.
And Im guessing you tipped these with worm?
Thanks David....I like the Scrubs....I hope to find a few more Palmetto Gills but they actually expect me to work for the pay I receive.....that's twisted! I don't mind keeping our Navy strong! Keep us up to speed when you fish those Crappie Scrubs......
found me some of those Kalin Crappie Scrubs - black and chartreuse. I havent caught anything on them, as the only place I've tried them so far is the Widow Maker.
But the small fish hit them and they do a nice dance in the water!
Pretty Palmetto 'gill
Thanks Jim.....good to see hens shallow with water temperatures in the 73 to 75 range here in the Low Country of South Carolina....so things will pick up very soon with those numbers...I released them to do their spawning thing......I'm getting to enjoy some bank fishing since I chose not to tow the boat down this time.....Good Old Days for sure!
Nice!
