A mixed bag of eight species including scores of the non target species.....white perch......all eating a peach cobbler hair jig in shallow water...........next 36 hours a washout from a coastal storm...

More local anglers on the Albemarle seek out the White Perch than any other panfish, only exceeded by largemouth and Striped bass anglers........many love them for tablefare but I prefer several other fish ahead of them so I don't target them myself..............they are not recognized as a gamefish in North Carolina which means no creel limits and that appeals to many that travel long distance to take in the action on the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds.........

Several anglers had nearly a hundred white perch.......I moved twice to get away after catching dozens in a row........they were busting the surface all over the marsh.........
