Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I tried the ice Sunday for some bluegill action and bumped into these big ol' crappies. To the hot oil with these two!

John, we caught all of our fish in 11' of water on Sunday with small jigs and a wax worm.  These two were right at 15", and we released a few that were longer to see how big they will get.  The majority of crappie in this body of water are in the 13"-15" range with small population reaching the 17"-18" mark.
