Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fished my favorite fixed position shore spot today for a bit over an hour. Used one of my favorite Panfish presentations; a 1/3 or 1/4 Crawler piece hooked on a floating jig-head under a split shot eight inches above FJH . Great slow fall that makes them commit . 16 Bluegills, 7 White Perch ,2 Yellow Perch ,1 Pumpkinseed and 1 Brown Bullhead .The Fish were so aggressive the rather large 1/0 Hook was inhaled by the small mouthed Bluegills, Pumpkinseed and White Perch .68degWT

You bet Jeff ! I recall long ago, an unannounced Trout Stocking with no restriction in Pompton Lakes NJ, back in the mid 80's . I was shore Fishing with Bass gear and the stocked Trout were jumping all over .I couldn't get a bite until after a while a 30 " 12 # Channel Cat came over and took my tiny worm offering . To this day it is my PB Channel Cat by 2pounds.
