Do you love big bluegill?

This pond doesn't even have a flurry at the beginning...The closest to a flurry is the intermittent explosions from the three- to five-pound feed-trained largemouth that were stocked as 6-8" two years ago. But even the bass mellow out after a few explosions and go into leisure mode.
Now my most crowded pond (which has by far the worst bluegill) - it has downright piranha-like flurries.
Isn't it cool when they feed like that Walt! Mine are doing the same thing. There's a brief flurry of activity when the feed first hits the water, then the pace slows to a crawl. They just mosey around, swimming from pellet to pellet. I watched a female northern strain pick off 18 pellets in a row a few nights ago.... never once did she get in a hurry.....
Federico, 20-30 fish of that caliber would make anyone's day! "Atta' boys," to both you and Walt!
Thanks guys! the amazing thing was we had probably 20-30 fish just like this one one of the 3 days.
You should see the 'gills in this pond feed. They take their time, just leisurely stroll from pellet to pellet - they sometimes take thirty minutes to clean up a one-second dispersal from the feeder.
What a supper looking bull gill. I'm impressed
Big body, small fins and tail.... fast growing fish right there!
Thanks guys! It was a lot of fun.
Looks like a great time...Walt had a good time hosting and you guys caught some great fish....what a chuunky Bull!
That there's a healthy fish! Wow! Great job Walt and Federico!
