Do you love big bluegill?
First time catching a Chub (or is it a Fallfish?)on a Countdown Rapala .Counted down to six fishing from shore at the pond . Usually find these guys using worms in Ringwood Brook ,which flows into Sally's pond .
Unfortunately I lost that classic bait in a snag .

Eat it!
toss it in the woods
Almost ,but different shaped mouth .I thought that too ,cause the coloring is similar .
The fallfish almost looks like a giant shiner with the smaller scale pattern but never seen one that I'm aware of.
Unusual is right Dick ? Surprised me for sure . I am rethinking Chub because it might be bigger than chubs get in this water . Fallfish are rare but do exist around this NENJ area too .I'm still uncertain .Thanks for the response buddy and great ties you keep creating ! http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/delriver/artdel_sp_fallfish.pdf
Wow John what an unusual fish to catch on a crank bait. I don't know what a fallfish is but it does look like a giant chub to me.
Is this a Fallfish or not ? I'm wondering now!
LOL!!
Love your new name lol!
