Do you love big bluegill?
I really like to sneak in here and park.....listen to the cicadas and red winged blackbirds while I wait for the float to plunge......

Tomorrow's fishing adventure will take me here.......
Sounds good to me Leo.....wife might object....LOL.......You're welcome Tooty and if you make it ,rest assured I'd be honored to try it.....
HOW DO SPOTS GET BETTER LOOKING THAN THIS!!!!!! THANKS for your kind words Jeffrey and sure SIr Jim appreciates it too. We all do what we do when it comes to making baits and I leave the ledheads to Sir Jim and concentrate on the slow fall as much as I can. My next project will be a slow fal auto. DOn't know if the concept will work or not and may have to find a tester for the the new ones Jeffrey. Got any Ideas for a tester buddy! Thanks again.......
With such a widespread of awesome spots like these, you need to upgrade yourself to a deluxe double decker pontoon, and just make a vacation along the waters, with the full comfort of home on the waters.
Deal....I've only got to fish Peacocks once in my life in the early 90s down in the country of Panama....what a blast they were....violent action on top water....We caught numbers on that particular trip but I was beat after that fishing trip! You're welcome anytime to fish with me Paul....just drop me a message if you're ever up this way.....I fish year round for something but peak gill fishing is May through July but I continue to enjoy good bluegill fishing through Halloween....after that the Coppernose start getting lock jaw in the cold......
Absolutely Paul......Jim Gronaw and David "Tooty" Eitutis have supplied me with some of the finest crafted bugs/jigs I've ever fished with.....Tooty specializes in bead head type bugs and Jim ties a variety of jigs that I consider top shelf....his 1/32 ounce grass shrimp replicas in pink and olive represent thousands of fish landed in the last couple years....great baits....many pictures/examples in my photos.....
That it is Dick.....the entire area has been designated a black bear/bald eagle sanctuary by the state of North Carolina so hopefully it'll stay like this for years to come....helping to preserve these wetlands for the other species will indirectly help the fish species here too! I'm all for it......
