Hey Jen, curious question. For the stripping apron, since you're not using your FC4 standard apron, how do you want to modify the apron to fit your need?

1. How far forward do  you need the apron to be?

2. How far towards your body do you want to apron to cover?

3. How high your apron you want to position?

4. How much weight you want your apron to handle?

5. Do you still have your existing FC apron for modification?

I was thinking about it last night and found a solid solution to a standard quick release apron for this FC, using the side accessory D-rings, rather than sewing velcro onto the float's body and compromise its existing integrity. Let me know. I may have a perfect solution to  your needs.

Vince, you're dead on. That's why I went from U-boat to pontoon, just because of that reason. But, a pontoon on a small lake between 5 to 20 acres is a bit no-no in our state, unless you're willing to shell out $45 per 6 hours on a rental. I tried an ODC 420 model, and loved the above water sitting, as well as cutting through the water with ease. Jen pointed out a great deal at Cabelas, and I grabbed it. I'll be modifying it to house my pontoon's equipment: fishfinder, 3 rod holders, transport system, and camcorder housing.

That fish cat looks like a very fun and stable way to chase gills. It looks as though they would be easy to navigate with the pointed ends on the front of them.

Leo you got both your tubes named. Maybe thats where my problem is my tube needs a name. I

ll have to work on that.

You still need to get your tube out of the box and into the water Dick. I'm putting my Caddis Nevada Gold into suspended state until someone wants to use it with me. I'll be focusing on the Calypso (my pontoon) and Fish Cat from here on in. I wonder what I'll call the Fish Cat..Clymene or Electra (both are younger sisters to Calypso)?

Love ya girl! I got my Fish cat and some extra 20# fly hi-vis backing, all for $140, after using my Cabelas Visa Member and free shipping to boost, plus, their offer of $25 off as good standing member. My Fish Cat will be arriving on Tuesday for modification.

My seat is thick foam, firm but comfortable. The back is adjustable which was most important for me. Of the 3 tubes I've tried I like this one best!

Jen, now's the foam seat treats you with the Fish Cat 4? I'm thinking between a Fish Cat 4 LCS Deluxe with inflatable seat or the Dave Scadden Escape. I like small..not big, but if I can get something for cheap and comfy on the water for up to 8 hours, I have no problem going for the cheaper.
