John this fish was just under 8"..........they were stocked over the last four years between three and four inches..........they appear to be doing good in this area but larger fish have been elusive for the most part........I have caught several approaching the 10" mark on the Albemarle but it has been uncommon for me to date...........They are having to battle a heavy population of coppernose and shellcrackers in this particular river system to survive...........
