Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Got a few of these 2# bass today, on tele pole and a weightless red worm. Nice little pull on a tele.
I had been up on the deep side, atop the dam - an area thickly overhung by branches. To cope with that, I'd taken my tele pole apart and extracted just the last three sections. I guess, "bass on short pole," is a better description.

No bluegill, though; they were absent.
It has been raining for two days and is only now starting to turn post-front conditions. It's breezy, normal for this stage of a front passage, and the pond is high and freshened. I'm sure this has the fish scattered around.

Yeah Leo it's hanging on by a thread.
Small pond, no supplemental feeding. It's a thin existence.

The green eating machine is not feeding well. Not enough food in the water? That's a heck of a tail to use for a bit of a battle.

I look forward to it , Carl.
Green trout are as good as anything, in my book.

If that is the worst problem you ever have to face......I think you will do alright.......Don

I was thinking about that today, Don.
This is boing to make a good training pond for that tube - if I ever take it out the box!
Right now my shed is so crammed full, I'd have no place to stick the thing once inflated.

Hey, with your float tube, you could use your fly-rod at that end of the pond...........(once the water is warm enough that you can stand it)..............Don
