This gill was caught on a plain splash jig 1/32 ounce with a live grass shrimp threaded on......was getting lots of motion form the surface float in all the waves today....This was big fish of the day at 10.5".........

Close to the main river so I was not sheltered from the winds.......tried putting down anchors but shallow water is tough with 10 pound bell anchors.......tend to bounce a bit.....you lose claw anchors in most places around here, they get fouled in heavy cover and become impossible to recover......so I chose slick anchors that I can retrieve easier no matter where I employ them......
