Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

If you notice this is open cell foam that they don't make any more. I really liked it because it would sink. Now all we can get is closed cell and have to use wire to make it sink..

Thanks Dick - anybody can tie.. just find one simple pattern you like and tie several of them and you will get the hang of using the vise and thread tension.
When I say severl I mean 30- or 40 of a proven pattern that will catch fish. Tootys spider is easy because it only has a head and a body and 4 legs unlike mine with 8 legs......Plus the Orange and Green are great in the spring in the midwest. So one simple pattern with several colors so it does not get boring. I know myself and Tooty have each tied hundreds of them over the years.

Nice looking Flies Rick. Hoping some day I can be close to tying stuff that good.

Sure is. Most people don't understand the ability of these spiders when it comes to surface and under surface enticement. It's not the shape, but it's the legs. Better tie more of these Rick. You may lose it all.
