Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

New Lake Record "Bluegill" from California lake..

Jonathon Wilowiak of Winchester caught this new Lake Skinner Record fish, which the lake is calling a Bluegill. Looks like a big Redear to me. Weighed 3.69 pounds! A trophy fish whatever it is!

Yeah Leo, I would love to float tube Skinner!  Can you imagine how good the fishing would be when you could quietly move into a good spot?  Oh well, we can only dream about it!

Great picture too, I might add.

Wowser! Pulling that thing out of the water would have me dancing on water. Great sharing. Wish that lake allows all types of kayaks and float tubes as well, which happens to be much less detrimental to water quality than boats. Too tight of a regulation.

I agree, looks like a gillcracker. Awesome fish, the biggest hybrid I've seen pictures of. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely a bluegill-redear hybrid.  If that fish is a pure bluegill I'm President of the U.S.

Looks exactly like the bluegill/redear hybrids I've seen and caught.  Regardless...an inspirational fish!
