Now that's a survival skill to be in your arsenal! Making flies out of needles and wires. Got paper clips? We'll turn it into deadly fishing tools.

no greg i didnt see fly tying demo at this booth  but saw how a piece of wire could be bent around a wooden form to produce a working eyeless and barbless  hook . A more modern needle with an eye could be wrapped around a form also to create a barbless hook with an eye as well.Very cool !

Tyikg flies without a vice? Wow. Either fingers of steel or someone found a niche to shove the hook onto for holding purposes.

This is a good info I will be checking it out!!!!! John, were they demonstrating fly tying with out a vice????? I saw it once and it was amazing how they would hold the hook, materials, and thread tie a fly with no vice!!!!!!
