Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I'm heading down for a Thanksgiving vacation and hope to get out on the Santee Cooper lakes for my birthday.

I would love to fish it one day. Most everyone I know that goes there is after the catfish, and not brim fishing. It is about 5 1/2 hrs from here. Maybe once I retire.........

Get some tape or small placards with the universal poison or bio waste symbol on it and put that up. Or just write something like this on the tape: "Bio/Chemical hazard testing underway - Lot #367. Keep Away. Dept. of Natural Resources"

Kind of like GPS technology for me. I mark all these spots with fish right, at least I thought I did! It helps if you take advantage of the "save" feature. You could somewhat recover during the day but this was at night. Live and learn......

Funny thing about tape, I tried samething once. Thought I would be smart and use camo, so no one would find my spots. Guess who else could not find their spots?

Thanks Dwayne, I used to find bluegill beds on this side of Lake Marion and I would tie surveyors ribbon in the Cypress so I could find the location again. Talking about looking the same! I love getting back there every chance I get. South Carolina can reward gill fishermen well, including the natural beauty of this lake chain in the Low Country!!!!
