Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Nice double header I got last year at Richmond Mill. Bluegill was huge!! Back to back casts with a deep diving crankbait.

Brown crankbaits, Robbie? - is there a good crawfish forage base in RM?

Sweet surrender, not too many places you can catch fish like that in 2 casts.

The female BG looks like a classic standard series strain. I see no copper on the nose.

Rootbeer color is my favorite crankbait color for big gills, get some strike king mini pro 3 cranks in that color.

Cool pic of some great well managed fish. What I wouldn't give to fish there one day. Oh well, one can dream!

Astonishing bluegill! I have actually caught comparable bass in local ponds. Hence....the amazing proportions of what appears to be a high-two or near three pound bluegill...incredible! Great fish, Robbie!

What a great photo!  Do they have a preferred color choice?  I know the Bluegill here like a bright green shad color.
