Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

While targeting the spring suckers,a few northern pike would take the nightcrawlers also....apparently they hit anything moving since pike don't really feed on nightcrawlers....released of course....

Nice fish, great foto composition.

This time of year I'm betting the fish are taking just about anything that moves. I recall living in MN - I was always impressed with the fact that the animals there had to get things done in a hurry, before winter set back in. Seemed like the fish there just hit harder than in the South.

Thanks John!    Not really the image I meant to post...lol!....maybe I'll just leave it.....I made it look somewhat "canvassed" as a painting....I caught a few chain pickerel while living in New Hampshire back in the late 80's.....They certainly are a beautiful fish also....

You know ,a few years ago,I caught a 22" Pickerel  swimming a full crawler . Nothing  seemed  interested in it till I swam it back to make another cast and here comes a fine Pickerel outta somewhere swimming after it and bangin' it. The Picks and Pikes like it swimming for sure!
