Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

This gator was killed during a recent hunting lottery on Lake Moultrie. This guy is gone but there are many more so Float Tubing and Wading are out for me!

Awesome!!! One thing on my bucket list, which may be a yearly thing. Love eating gator meat, especially with curry style or cajun deep fried.

South Carolina and several other states have a gator season......It's been big in recent years down here in South Carolina Leo.....

Curious though. Can you catch these bad boys legal for consumption purposes, that is, if I'm not the one to be come their dinner?

Jeeze!  I'll be human filling for the donut I'm floating on when facing one of these guys.

Actually I find fishing better when I see alligators. They keep otters and other critters away from the fish and I've never had an alligator bother me. But I don't bother them either.

Uh, yeah, you wouldn't find me float tubing with 100 miles of any place with a gator like that :p

Tagging has cut down the population in recent years but I just enjoy seeing gators when I go fishing....It was 31 degrees here in Charleston this morning but I saw a couple gators at lunch time today despite the colder temperatures......
