Do you love big bluegill?
A great tidal Crappie and a Solid Spotted bass for one of my blackened fish recipes..........If you're stuck inside for a winter storm you may as well eat good!

The largemouth will also begin to push in during March on the Albemarle.........good chance to catch a big girl.......
Yeah Tooty I would probably still be out if not for the nasty weather......fish were really biting good on the Pink Mantis jig from Allen Morgan........
Glad to see ya got out Jeffrey and them are some nice fish and GOOD EATS .....
Thanks Dick and Vince......
Two good fish, Jeffrey! I like catching spots, super good fighters.
Nice tandem catch Jeffrey.
Thanks Don....Both largemouth and spotted coexist in our local rivers ......largemouth still get the biggest but these spotted bass are strong fighters.....
I never caught a spotted Bass, not sure where they are down here. Those are two nice fish, I too look forward to the next real warm spell.............Don
Thanks Carl......busy at work and bad weather.......just got to get out there when you can......March is like that around here.......things get much better as the calendar hits April......
Out of 26 Crappie caught shallow this morning.....only seven males which marks the first time this season that the catch was dominated by females which put today's average fish at 12-13 inches, just a quality creel......We are being dealt a set back in coastal North Carolina with a winter storm this week but my experience has been that most fish that go shallow are reluctant to pull off once they are that close to spawning.........The warm up behind this next system will probably be a productive time..........
