Do you love big bluegill?
We were out at our favorite crappie spot again, not catching any. She just seems to have a knack for picking up big fish on light tackle. Same light spinning rod with eight pound line she caught the big drum on. This Flathead Catfish hit a 3/8 ounce jig with a four inch curly tail grub. After a twenty min. fight we released it. One of these days maybe I will catch a fish worth taking a picture of.

Keith you are very lucky to have a spouse you can spend quality time with and who has the same interest. I hope everything works out for you and your wife and you can continue in your interest together, sounds like a match made in heaven. I really would suggest you take advantage in fishing lessons if she offers. GOOD FISHIN....
I tell ya what guys... I can't tell you how fortunate I am to have a wife who is not only my best friend, but loves to do the same things in the outdoors that I do. We have fished together from the Florida Keys to the Rocky Mtns, from the Smokey Mtns to the Texas Hill Country. She is a crack shot too! Hunting and fishing together is our thing. Seventeen years ago our first real date was a fishing trip.
Dick, after being together as long as we have you would think I would have learned something... guess not.
Keith maybe she will give you lessons.
Looks like Lisa has that womans touch. That is a great fish though in anybodies book.
What a fish! What a woman to hook up a fish! She truly knows her plan of attack in bringing in that thing.
Nice fish!! Those are best released into a cast iron skillet!!
That is a great fish! Especially on such light gear!
I am jealous!
