I believe he hatched no earlier than 2005; I doubt any later than 2006.

Theo, any idea on that fish's age?   I know what the book says, but what kind of lifespan are you seeing from your Bluegill?

I moved him from my male-only Bluegill pond back to my Bluegill breeding pond to work on next year's spawn.

A new personal record - 10 1/2 Inc, 1Lbs 9 3/4 Oz.  Caught on mealworm 18" under a bobber, about 2 feet from shore.
