NORMALLY THE WATER is very clear , but all stired up this day ..... No wading cept bout 5 feet from shore cause it drops down toy 8 feet or so then...
  Congrats SS on your ability to fish in real windy conditions !!!!!!

That's S.O.P. here on Okie-land.  The wind always blows.....  One of the reasons why I will use an 8wt for Bluegill......

i see what your going thru Tootie.... shore fishing with these winds from shore especially is brutal... very tough conditions... ive been battling for 3 days from shore 20-30 mph winds.... not nice... kiss the fish you catch .... i hear that helps ... lol
