You got it good Jeffrey ,and earned it !
Thanks guys........appreciate the kind words John.........one of the main reasons my family and I settled in Elizabeth City was the proximity to the Albemarle Sound and all the riches that come with that........I fish two to three times a week almost year round because of the versatility of the brackish waters here.......for years I hunted woodcock and quail from Thanksgiving day until the end of February but retired from that several years ago once public land availability became almost non-existent......we had a good run but finally transitioned to fishing year round in the early 80s when the family moved from New Orleans to Toledo Bend.......my twilight tour in the Navy brought me close to Elizabeth City and the opportunity to fish this region......15 years later and I still haven't fished all the places that I want to try........added a couple new locations in 2014 that I now enjoy a lot but even retirement in a few years won't mean enough time to fish this area thoroughly, it's simply a large volume of quality water access and I have compiled some areas that have produced trophy bluegill for more than a decade.......As much as I enjoyed growing up on the bayous of southeastern Louisiana, or lake fishing on Toledo Bend and the Santee Cooper chain over the years.......the best overall pan fishing that I've ever experienced is the river fishing on the Albemarle Sound........
