Do you love big bluegill?
Jenks Lake, southeast shore (resized)
So much panfish like you wouldn't believe, less than 2ft from shoreline, and in less than 1 foot of water. 1" to 6" green sunfish and bluegill were all over the place, trying to get the small black tadpoles less than 1cm in length and 0.5cm in width.

Yep. Always do full recon of any water body I'm going to fish at for that specific time/season to find the local insects, bugs, and victims to mimic the "match the hatch". Saw a few white and black soldier flies got hammered as they barely touched the water's surface.
