Do you love big bluegill?
Bagley's swamp delivered some coveted shallow crappie as surface temperatures began at 61 and climbed to near 66 by noon.......These fish were aggressive and some were caught in areas that were almost dry on Friday from low water....exciting times to fish!

Thanks Dick.......unfortunately we won't get on these fish again until next week as the big storm has taken all the water out of most of our creeks......greater than a three foot drop n just eighteen hours...........but you take the bad with the good and move on......
Nice pair of crappies Jeffrey.
Thanks Jim...........it usually happens in the second week of March but we had a significant warm up.........but now we have a major coastal storm coming in and this will take all of our water out in locations that these fish have begun to set up.........we'll see how it goes........
Wow! Looks like the spawn is just around the corner...is it early for that?
Indeed Jonathan.......I passed through the Pee Dee basin on the way home last Sunday and thought about you........I always looked forward to the 1st of March when I lived in the Low Country........We normally have to make it through Good Friday up here to escape cold weather........we shall see.......some of these fish were on cypress knees in two feet of water..........
