Thanks, this is most likely the first Bluegill I've ever caught in November. I'm gonna try to catch at least one each month for the rest of the winter. It will have to be in open water because the ice never gets thick enough for ice fishing.

Nice Keith!... it is my number one method... i usually quit gill fishing in september but have now fished all the way to ice-on. once the water temp for me got into the upper 40s and below the gill moved into the sparse weedy flats and shallow and the float was the only way to get them. i was expecting them to move deep into their wintering haunts but that didnt happen. i believe they still feed on the flats till the oxygen level drops and forced to move. now ive read two different schools of thought.

is GULP a big producer for you? have you tried any other products and colors like the minnow or fry? what colors havce produced for you? pink was my hot color... have you tried pink?
