Body too soft to be black soldier fly larvae. Based on geolocation, I would say it's close to a blow fly larvae. California's blowfly doesn't get as big, but the dimension of that thing resemble it, and the same storage method of rolled oat to minimize the off-gassing issues. My wife freaks when she see them yearly in our fish-carcass pile for the plants (minus the black soldier from the compost fly bin).
Those are some big maggots, compared to what I'm used too.
What kind of maggots are they.
