You got plenty of interesting larvae over there for usages Tony. Year round fresh bait of all types.

I've herd about acorn larva before it's one of them things I forgot.

The larvae are about 1/2" long, and !/8" in diameter. That's one of your 1/64 oz jigs in my hand, Dick.

It's the larvae of a nut weevil. These came from hickory nuts, which we gathered last week. They're a lot tougher than beemoth, but not as durable as maggots. Here's a photo off the net...

Not a wax worm. To my knowledge these are not available commercially.
