Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Foam body, guinea hackle, lacquered pheasant shell back. My daughter shrieked and ran from the room when I showed it to her - PERFECT!
It'll fool a fish, I'm thinking!

Thanks for both, Jim.
Buggy is really the point, in my eyes. I watch the activity on the water, and I see the fish practically tripping over themselves to catch any flitting thing that comes near. This was really inspired by a leafhopper design I read about, one that used a shellac coated shellback.
But I already had this lacquered feather floating around the workbench; I'd been wondering what to do with it... So, I tinkered around with the proportions and a few materials and here we are.

I reckon cockroaches are a unrecognized resource in our battle to outwit fish.
Well see how this does.
