Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

So I just bought a brand-new digital scale last week, and it worked fine yesterday when I was doing a consultation, seemed to be right on the money. But then this morning it sprinkled rain as we were fishing (guided Don and his brother, who drove down from St. Louis), and the scale got wet, and was badly off when we caught these two big ones.

Wow! You definitely need to have these digital scale covered. I have an old one that is extremely sensitive to water as well, designed for meticulous field works. Hope it wasn't completely off after it got dried from the water exposure.

I wish I knew, Jim.  I wish someone would make a digital fishing scale that's accurate, that doesn't require one to puncture the fish's lip to weigh it, and that can actually be taken outdoors where the fish live without going belly-up...

What an awful thing to have happen...world class hybs on the scale and the scale doesn't work!!! Sheeesh!

My Mainstays scale was so sensitive to rain/moisture that it just stopped working...man, what's the answer?

I was none too happy to see a scale that cost over $100 with shipping ($88 without!) become useless less than a week after I bought it...

What a toad!! I just received a new scale also......hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as yours!
