Allen Ive been tying some deerhair muddler minows , they look nice but are tied on 2's,4s and 6. I just started working with deer hair and I like it.

Rick's Revenge..Now that's a ride I like to experience. I can already imagine these boys hooked up with the hogs from below the lakes you're going to, and being dragged around for hours on your float tube as you hang on for dear life to your fly rod.

I just got a large piece of natural deer hair from a buddy.  It's almost as big as a piece of paper.  Tied a couple "pellet flies" with it, hoping I can entice the local stocker trout to feed.

He also told me that he's seen a trout circling a midge on the surface before gulping it down.  I've been meaning to tie some midge patterns, this gave me inspiration.  I've tied up a couple Griffith's Gnats in size 16.  Man, those things are small!  I'm going to have a hard time seeing them on the water.  I need to get some white CDC so I can do a parachute post midge, especially since I've got some size 20 hooks on the way.
