Just got back from fishing from shore for an hour .Ist fish was a nice Crappie on a MR.Twister spin Jig/Tube combo.Go figure .The only Crappie I got though .Came off a sandy /Pebbly hump in just a few feet of water. It rained before I went and I expected to catch Yellow Perch by the in flow.NOPE! Got one White Perch and a few small bass and several Gills in addition to the one Crappie .

Appreciate it John.....it's normally later in September into October for us but every once in a while you'll get surprised on a fishing trip and yesterday was one of those days.....

I hear ya Jeff .I usually only catch large numbers of Crappie in November when the cooler shallows hold them around wood cover .

Three to five feet in relatively shallow water....I was surprised we got them in water that had surface temperatures in the mid 80s.....Fixed Float presentation.....

Ah ha the real thing ! Did you slip float the minnows?Curious what depth the Crappie were at!

We were having so much success on tiny live minnows John we didn't try anything else...
