Thanks Slip and Carl........this is not my record year Carl but a lot of fun........almost hit 5,400 in 2014........that looked unreachable this season until earlier today when I caught 111 solid fliers which takes me up to 5.130 with 26 fishing days left in 2015..........

Jeffery; for what its worth;; you set a goal for this year; to catch a all time high of 5000 blue gills;; and acomplished that ! by no means; was that a accident ! you have studied your waters; weather; keep notes; everything to make fishing ; a bit easier to catch big ones ! got a lot of respect for you on that buddy ! cant wait to meet ya !!

Thanks Carl........5,000 is just a milestone to me personally that validates my efforts locally.........who knows what the ceiling might be when I retire and fish full time.......the key for me is knowing that quality fish and numbers have repeated on these waters since 1999..........this gives me the motivation to extend my search on the Albemarle and this continues to pay dividends year after year.......a combination of experience, skill and some fishing luck has made this Bluegill Life possible
